Back for the future I’m heading back to India

I just landed in India—my third visit in three years—and the country is still alit with the colors of Holi. Every time I come here, I’m struck by how much progress is being made. India has a way of taking on big challenges with even bigger ambition.
This visit is particularly special because, for the first time, the Gates Foundation’s Board of Trustees is meeting in the Global South. India is the perfect place for this milestone, a country full of innovators creating AI-powered health and development tools, next-generation vaccines and diagnostics, advances in digital public infrastructure, and more.
Last week, I wrote about some of the breakthroughs shaping India’s future—and the potential they have to improve lives not just here but around the world. If you haven’t yet, you can read the post now on Gates Notes.
And be sure to follow along on my socials this week—I’ll be sharing more about what I see and learn while I’m here.
Thanks for being an Insider.
