C\u2019est un m\u00e9lange de deux images \u2013 Salim avec un pinceau et son travail qui a toujours mis en valeur les femmes rurales irakiennes et la vie paysanne \u00e0 travers des coups de pinceau audacieux et des couleurs vives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e9e dans une famille d\u2019artistes irakiens en Turquie, Salim a aim\u00e9 cr\u00e9er son propre art d\u00e8s son plus jeune \u00e2ge. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 inscrite \u00e0 l\u2019Institut des Beaux-Arts de Bagdad o\u00f9 elle a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 la peinture et a obtenu son dipl\u00f4me avec distinction. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son travail acharn\u00e9 et sa passion pour l\u2019art, elle est devenue l\u2019une des premi\u00e8res femmes \u00e0 obtenir une bourse pour poursuivre ses \u00e9tudes \u00e0 Paris \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure des Beaux-Arts. A Paris, Salim se sp\u00e9cialise dans la fresque et la peinture murale. Apr\u00e8s avoir obtenu son dipl\u00f4me, elle a pass\u00e9 plusieurs ann\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger, s\u2019immergeant dans l\u2019art et la culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalement, elle est retourn\u00e9e \u00e0 Bagdad pour travailler \u00e0 l\u2019Institut des Beaux-Arts o\u00f9 elle enseignerait jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa retraite. Elle \u00e9tait active dans la communaut\u00e9 artistique irakienne et l\u2019un des membres fondateurs d\u2019Al-Ruwwad, une communaut\u00e9 d\u2019artistes qui \u00e9tudient \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger et int\u00e8grent des techniques artistiques europ\u00e9ennes dans l\u2019esth\u00e9tique irakienne.
