Attended by over 550 guests,\u00a0the event gathered 62 top agencies and professionals to contend for esteemed titles across 53 competitive categories, celebrating excellence and transformative impact in the industry.<\/p>\n

Showcasing the finest achievements in the industry, the MEPRA Awards 2024 celebrated groundbreaking campaigns, agencies, and professionals who redefined excellence through innovation. With over 770 entries judged by an esteemed panel of 130 industry veterans, the awards spotlighted communication campaigns that excelled in concept, strategy, and impact.<\/p>\n

Agencies that outshined the evening for scooping maximum awards had\u00a0Memac Ogilvy<\/b>\u00a0winning\u00a027<\/b>\u00a0titles,\u00a0Gambit Communications<\/b>\u00a0clinching\u00a022\u00a0<\/b>titles and\u00a0Weber Shandwick<\/b>\u00a0securing the third position with\u00a016<\/b>\u00a0awards. The agencies showcased thoughtfully curated campaigns, strategic techniques, and innovative solutions meeting evolving industry needs. The prestigious\u00a0Chairman\u2019s Award<\/b>\u00a0was conferred upon\u00a0Mr. Jamal Al Mawed<\/b>\u00a0(Founder & Managing Director, Gambit Communications) while the\u00a0Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi<\/b>\u00a0was pronounced the\u00a0In-House Team of the Year<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The sector category highlighted the finest of PR and communications success glorifying\u00a0Dubai Holding\u2019s Gift It Forward Ramadan Campaign 2024<\/b>\u00a0as the\u00a0Best Business to Business Campaign<\/b>; while\u00a0Snap Inc<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Weber Shandwick MENAT<\/b>\u2019s\u00a0TASAWAR-Taking the Runway<\/b>\u00a0won both,\u00a0Best Fashion Campaign<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Best Technology Campaign<\/b>.\u00a0Burson<\/b>\u00a0took home gold in\u00a0Best Government Communications<\/b>\u00a0and Public Affairs<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0I Care<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Memac Ogilvy<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Qatar Foundation\u00a0<\/b>co-owned the gold for\u00a0Best Education Campaign<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The services category of MEPRA Awards 2024 honored ingenuity and commitment to excellence spotlighting\u00a0Matrix Public Relations<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0Best Crisis Communication<\/b>,\u00a0Gambit Communications<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0City Centre Mirdif<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0Best Retail Campaign<\/b>, and;\u00a0Weber Shandwick MENAT<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Careem Kuwait<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0Best Consumer Services Campaign<\/b>. Harnessing the power of digital media,\u00a0Current Global MENAT<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0MullenLowe<\/b>\u00a0clinched gold for Best Use of Social Media. The winners showcased unmatched resilience in a rapidly evolving communications landscape where expertise demanded adaptability and innovative strategies.<\/p>\n

Complimenting the winners,\u00a0Kate Midttun, Chairperson of MEPRA<\/b>\u00a0said; \u201cWe have some amazing trailblazers, leaders as well as rising stars of the PR industry tonight as we continue to applaud the efforts channeled towards recognition. Not a single win has been smooth sailing for any of us as agencies continue to strike a winning balance between tighter budgets, deadlines, and client expectations. The emphasis on creative storytelling through owned content and strategic maneuvering of AI and technology to reach newer audiences shows that the Middle East\u2019s PR industry shall continue to reign supreme when it comes to embracing innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other notable wins were\u00a0Current Global MENAT<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0FP7\u00a0<\/b>for\u00a0Best Integrated Campaign<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Best Use of Media Relations<\/b>,\u00a0Brazen MENA<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0Best Use of Limited Budget<\/b>, and\u00a0CYLKA CSR<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0Best ESG Campaign<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The highlights of the evening were the\u00a0Large Agency of the Year<\/b>\u00a0bagged by\u00a0Memac Ogilvy<\/b>\u00a0followed by\u00a0Gambit Communications<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Matrix Public Relations\u00a0<\/b>for\u00a0Medium Agency of the Year<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Small Agency of the Year<\/b>, respectively.\u00a0Gambit Communications<\/b>\u00a0was crowned as the\u00a0Homegrown Agency of the Year\u00a0<\/b>for a third time, having won this highly coveted award in 2021 and 2022.<\/p>\n

Iman Isa of Burson<\/b>\u00a0was named the\u00a0Best Communicator of the Year<\/b>\u00a0while Rebecca Rego from Edelman won the\u00a0Young Communicator of the Year\u00a0<\/b>award. Providing a competitive platform to the new generation of PR practitioners, the audience cheered Astha Kurup, Arvy Moga, and Jared Rallos of Murdoch University Dubai for bagging gold in\u00a0Outstanding Student Campaign<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Weber Shandwick collaborated as Diamond Partner for the third consecutive year with MSL Group Middle East, Action Global Communications, and Memac Ogilvy as Platinum Partners.
