Hands-on programmes and innovative projects strengthened students'
\ncapabilities in giftedness, innovation and advanced technologies
\nDubai, UAE, July 23, 2026: Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for
\nMedical and Educational Sciences has concluded the 2026 Tomorrow\u2019s Skills
\nSummer Forum following three weeks of training and hands-on programmes
\ninvolving more than 100 students. The Forum featured specialised programmes in
\ngiftedness, innovation, artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things and
\nentrepreneurship, helping participants develop practical and intellectual skills,
\nstrengthen their readiness for future opportunities and contribute to a knowledge-
\nand innovation-based economy.
\nThe Forum provided participants with experiential learning opportunities built around
\npractical application, exploration and teamwork. Students developed innovative
\nideas and projects while using advanced tools and technologies in artificial
\nintelligence, robotics, digital design and digital fabrication. They also strengthened
\ntheir skills in scientific research, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and personal
\ndevelopment, creating an integrated learning experience that combined knowledge
\nwith practical application.
\nCommenting on the Forum\u2019s outcomes, H.E. Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Executive
\nDirector of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational
\nSciences, said: \u201cThe outcomes of the Tomorrow\u2019s Skills Summer Forum reflect the
\nsuccess of the Foundation\u2019s approach to designing educational programmes that
\nplace practical application at the heart of the learning process and give students the
\nopportunity to discover and develop their abilities in an environment that encourages
\ncreativity and innovation. Throughout the Forum, we witnessed clear progress in
\nparticipants\u2019 engagement, analytical thinking, teamwork and ability to apply modern
\ntechnologies in developing solutions and projects with added value.\u201d
\nH.E. Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi added that these outcomes provide further impetus for
\nHamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences
\nto continue developing more specialised programmes that respond to students\u2019
\nneeds, strengthen sustainable pathways for giftedness and innovation and expand<\/p>\n
opportunities for participation in scientific and technological initiatives. These efforts
\ncontribute to preparing future generations with the knowledge, skills and capabilities
\nrequired to play an active role in national development.
\nWithin the Skills and Personal Development track, the Forum featured Difference
\nMakers, which focused on building self-awareness, developing personal values and
\nstrengthening teamwork and self-confidence. It also included Conscious \u2013 Towards
\nFinancial and Cognitive Intelligence, which enhanced students\u2019 financial literacy
\nthrough practical skills in financial planning, saving, investment and informed
\ndecision-making. The opening programme also featured the interactive workshop
\nJourney to the Self, designed to support self-awareness and personal growth.
\nWithin the Advanced Technology and Innovation track, the Forum featured
\nConnected Future, which enabled participants to design and develop innovative
\nInternet of Things solutions addressing real-world challenges. The Small World
\nstrengthened scientific research and inquiry skills through practical experiments and
\nactivities linked to environmental and emerging technology concepts. Underground
\nRobotics Explorer prepared students for international robotics competitions through
\nrobot design, programming and engineering problem-solving.
\nThe track also included Future Designers, which enabled participants to use artificial
\nintelligence and digital design tools to develop practical innovation projects, and
\nNawabigh (Prodigies), which focused on application design and the use of artificial
\nintelligence and automation to create innovative technical solutions. In addition,
\nSearch and Rescue Robot introduced participants to the design and programming of
\nsearch-and-rescue robots using the Robot Operating System and digital fabrication
\ntechnologies, while IoT Smart Plant Pot combined digital design, electronics and
\nInternet of Things technologies to develop an intelligent plant pot capable of
\nresponding automatically to a plant\u2019s needs.
\nCollectively, these programmes strengthened participants\u2019 critical thinking, problem-
\nsolving, scientific inquiry, communication and collaboration skills. They also enabled
\nstudents to transform their ideas into practical applications and projects, reinforced a
\nculture of innovation and prepared them to participate in scientific and technological
\ninitiatives and competitions at both national and international levels.
\nThe success of the 2026 Tomorrow\u2019s Skills Summer Forum reflects Hamdan Bin
