Widad Abdel Qader is crowned Miss Arab Asia 2025 in Kuala Lumpur

The Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, witnessed the coronation of Widad Abdul Qader, a Syrian national, Miss Arab Asia 2025, headed by Dr. Hanan Nasr, President of the Miss Arab World Foundation, and the Foundation’s Vice President, Souad Al-Saadi, and in the presence of Her Royal Highness Sultana Yang Mulia Tongo Keralu Adina, in a huge celebration hosted by the Flamingo Hotel. Amidst a remarkable presence from the Arab and Malaysian community.

 

The ceremony was performed by the Emirati star Fatim Al Shamsi, who performed the song “I Am the Queen,” and the Syrian singer residing in Malaysia, Khalifa Al Ali, with the participation of the Malaysian Bolly Dance band, who opened the celebration with dazzling artistic performances. The ceremony was also presented by Miss Arab Egypt 2025, Reem Al Ganzouri, who came Specially from Egypt to present this event.

 

The Syrian Widad Abdul Qader snatched the title, while Emirati Maryam Mohammed was first runner-up, Saudi Reem Al-Qahtani was second runner-up, and Yemeni Aya Dahan was crowned Miss Arab Yemen 2025, and will participate in the final qualifiers in Egypt next January.

 

Sultana Adina and Dr. Beacky Lee crowned the queens, in the presence of Dr. Hanan Nasr, President of the Miss Arab World Foundation, and Souad Al-Saadi, Vice President of the Foundation.

 

The ceremony began with the Malaysian national anthem, then the Egyptian national anthem. The ceremony was opened by the Malaysian Bolly Dance band, and a display of beauty queens in traditional Asian costumes. Then Miss Arab Emirates Fatim Al Shamsi performed the song “I Am the Queen” and celebrated with the audience the UAE National Day, by distributing gifts to the audience and the media.

 

The queens were decorated by Egyptian hairdresser Mukhtar Ismail, and also from Egypt, make-up artists Rehab Ashraf and Donia Mahmoud, and also from Libya, Libyan beauty expert Amira Balrouen, and from Malaysia, make-up artist Angel Magic, and the photography was done by the Syrian photographer Modi and the Chinese photographer Tom Ho.

 

Dr. confirmed. Hanan Nasr said that the winner of the Miss Arab Asia title will join the winners from other continents, within the framework of the Miss Arab Continental Competition organized by the Foundation from the remaining continents, Australia, Africa and America.

 

Miss Arab Europe was crowned in Türkiye last month, while the next stop will be in Egypt during January 2025, to choose Miss Arab Continent.

 

It is worth noting that this event reflects cultural diversity and openness to the world, while enhancing the status of Arab women and highlighting their beauty and culture on the global stage.
