New Zealand Dairy announces its participation in the Damascus International Fair and confirms its interest in the Syrian market

New Zealand Dairy Food Industries, a leading dairy company in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, announced its distinguished participation this year in the Damascus International Fair, emphasizing its strong interest in the Syrian market as one of the region’s most promising. “We are honored to participate in the Damascus International Fair,” said Eng. Osama Ibrahim, Chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Group, in a press statement. “We have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time, as Syria is one of our commercial target countries. It is a promising and very important market for us on both the Arab and international levels.” The company produces natural ghee and butter from cow butter, offering its products in a variety of weights ranging from 400 grams to 210 kilograms for ghee, and from 250 grams to 25 kilograms for butter, meeting the needs of homes, restaurants, and confectionery, maamoul, and biscuit factories. The company also produces mixed ghee and vegetable ghee in the same range of weights, making it a strong competitor in the Syrian and Middle Eastern markets. Engineer Osama Ibrahim explained that the Syrian market, despite the difficult economic conditions it has experienced in recent years, remains an emerging and growing market. He noted that the company relies on providing high-quality products at reasonable prices, achieving the price-quality ratio sought by Syrian consumers. He also pointed out that Syrian and oriental sweets rely primarily on natural animal ghee, which makes the company’s products an ideal choice for high-quality traditional sweets. He said, “Syria is famous for its distinctive oriental sweets, and animal ghee is the cornerstone of these sweets. Therefore, we are keen to offer products at a level befitting the reputation of Syrian sweets.” The Chairman concluded his remarks by emphasizing that New Zealand Dairy’s participation in the Damascus International Fair represents an important step toward strengthening the company’s presence in the Syrian market. He expressed his hope that market stability would create greater opportunities for Arab and international companies, saying, “We wish the best for Syria and its people, and that this market will remain open to all, benefiting both consumers and producers alike.”
