ISIE: How to encourage young people to participate in the second round?

Awareness campaigns aimed at encouraging young people to participate massively in the second round of legislative elections were at the center of a tripartite meeting held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE). took part, the President of the Electoral Authority, Farouk Bouasker, the Director General of Youth at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Anouar Yahya and the President of the Association of Social Accountability, Oussama Riahi.
Summary of the meeting:
The parties agreed to implement a tripartite action program aimed at making use of the human and technical capacities available in the youth centres.
They also agreed , on the implementation of a program of awareness campaigns aimed at young people, as well as on the organization of debate programs via the radios and web televisions available to present the candidates for the different constituencies as well as their electoral programs.
The meeting took place in the presence of the vice-president of the electoral body, Maher Jedidi, and two members of the ISIE council Mahmoud Ouaer and Mohamed Naoufel Frikha.
It should be noted that the participation rate of young people in the first round of the legislative elections, among the 18-25 age group, rises to 5.8%, and 26.7% for the 26-45 age group, according to the figures provided by the ISIE.
