End of year celebrations: joy, despite everything

Tunisia is undeniably an exceptional country. It is hard to imagine a people who cries on their fate during the day because of a finance law with multiple unpopular measures and the weight of the increase in the monetary rate of the market to 8% and wiggle in the night boxes for the end of year celebrations.

Indeed, Saturday December 31, 2022, was a very Zen day during the day but very trendy at night. In Tunis, Hammamet, Sousse or in Tozeur, Djerba, these tourist animation centers where the arteries are aligned all the catalog of night animation, keep their appeal and their dynamism despite the unsuspected effects of an economic recession which pushes many consumers to revise their budget and to tighten the cords of their scholarship where the most affected by the crisis had to put a cross on leisure, a large number of citizens storm these fun places each evening. Admittedly, there are faces which refer to heavy loneliness but there are also those for whom the night brings a break of night freshness punctuated with notes, tempos and rhythms and makes them vibrate at the whim of thousands of decibels that make Raise the sauce until a late hour of the evening.

It is that the animation which reigned at the end of the year pushes to the noctambulism, in the public squares and the main arteries of these tourist cities as well as in the animated restaurants. That said, the fears of some about the increase in taxes on alcoholic beverages in tourist establishments or that relating to TMM should not constitute a major concern for the various players in the sector since partygoers and "clubbers » inveterate people do not hesitate to put their hands in their pockets during this night which closes the parenthesis of political worries to make way for the joy of living.

Indeed, despite a falling mercury, politics will not cool the ardor of customers that a certain enthusiasm warms them up enough to push them on the way to these singing cafes. Because if because of the political fact, it is always hot during the day, it makes show in the evening. Even those who feel alone, helpless, ignored, unloved, abandoned, isolated, lost, without hope, without a future, who are unhappy and far from everything, the party was accessible to all. A succession neither ambivalent nor shocking for a country three thousand years old. Because, in these troubled times, against a backdrop of progressive deconfinement, the need to exert oneself physically and to live healthily resonates as a requirement for a good part of the population. This is why the party is for everyone an event that provides an effect of well-being for those who experience it as a couple, with family or friends. The Covid-19 pandemic and the terrorist attacks have certainly had a severe impact on the tourism sector, but they have also demonstrated its importance as a development engine for all other sectors.

Tourism provides a well-being effect for those who indulge in it. And for the party to take place in good conditions, the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts has initiated a vast operation of control of tourist establishments. At the charge, the Minister and all inspectors in the department have been mobilized to ensure the grain of the quality of services and compliance with hygiene standards. For his part, the Minister of the Interior, accompanied by the head of the government, visited the various police units and security agents deployed throughout the territory to ensure an evening without incidents. For his part, the President of the Republic preferred to go to the city of El Intilaka to ensure the availability in small businesses of basic food products. What was done on the night of December 31, 2022 should serve as a roadmap for the other days of the year in order to perpetuate control and ensure a level of service that meets the expectations of Tunisians, to give back to the tourism sector its luster and to embark on a more royal path capable of bouncing back the chest of the destination with a more innovative approach.

As a result, the year 2023 must be placed under the sign of action at all levels to give Tunisians hope and smiles.
