Well-known businessman Talal Khoury, founder of the Khoury Group and GMK, a member of the board of directors of the Russian Sberbank, and prominent international consultant Professor William Rothschild, were involved in a serious traffic accident yesterday evening, Wednesday, on Leninsky Prospekt Road in the Russian capital, Moscow.
Initial reports indicated that the accident occurred as a result of a violent collision between the car they were traveling in and another vehicle, in circumstances that are still under investigation by the Russian authorities.
The accident resulted in them being seriously injured, after which they were transferred to Bodkin Hospital, where they are currently undergoing intensive care.
Specialized medical teams are monitoring their health condition, while medical sources reported that the health condition of both of them is critical but stable.
Many prominent figures in the business world and the international community expressed their shock and concern over the incident, wishing them a speedy recovery.
It also called on the concerned authorities to expedite investigations to uncover the circumstances of the accident and ensure that the necessary measures are taken.
