From hospitality to art…an artistic journey with artist Iman Naji

The actress, Iman Naji, played the role of the mother-in-law who deals harshly in an old series, Rent, and she was able to draw attention to her in terms of personality and her provocation in the role. She was admired by many and was distinguished by her distinctive face.

The artist and media personality, Iman Naji Mustafa, was born on June 10, Gemini, from the city of Ismailia. The artist, Iman Nagy, moved to Cairo when she started in art in 1997, and after that she was appointed as an air hostess for EgyptAir.

Her father, the late Chancellor Naji Mustafa, and her mother, Mrs. Wafa Habib, graduated from the Higher Institute of Arab Music, where she inherited her love of art from her mother. She is a distinguished player on the oud and violin and has a distinctive voice, but she was content with her work in education and gave up singing in order to devote herself to raising her children.

Iman Naji got into art by chance. She was asked to make a camera test to present Fawazir for Channel 4 in Ismailia. This was acting, singing and dancing in front of the late, beautiful professor: Muhammad Abu Al-Hassan. Upon the success of Al-Fawazir, she went to Cairo and worked in the series Secret of the Earth with the star Ahmed Adam.

She worked in a lot after her series The Secret of the Earth, and after that she worked with director Mohamed Abdel Aziz in a series with separate episodes on the Art channel, and she presented more than one evening in the production sector. She decided in 2002 to give up art, and leave it to raise her only daughter, Jomana, and in 2020 she returned again to the world. She loved art and studied many acting workshops.

She participated in important series, including Meat Ghazal, 60 Minutes, Miss Farah 5, Like the Moon, A Noble Goal, Another World, and Old Rent. She is currently participating in the Beit Al-Rifai series, Next Ramadan 2024, and the series We Left Two, Black Point, and Catalog. She also presented the artist Iman Naji on stage.
