The First Edition of the Neo Gen Conference Achieves Remarkable Success in Egypt

The first edition of the Real Estate Technology, Digital Twin, and Sustainable Smart Cities Conference, held for the first time in Egypt under the name Neo Gen Conference, concluded with outstanding success and strong participation from key ministries, governmental authorities, and industry leaders.

The conference witnessed high-level governmental attendance, including Dr. Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities and Head of Technical Affairs; Mr. Hossam Heiba, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), representing H.E. the Minister of Investment; Dr. Ahmed Khattab, President of the National Telecommunications Institute, representing H.E. the Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Brigadier General Ihab El-Qattan, Head of the Central Department for Digital Transformation, representing the Chairman of the Industrial Development Authority; and Dr. Sally George, Head of the Digital Transformation Department at the Financial Regulatory Authority.

The event was also attended by chairpersons and senior executives of leading real estate development companies, including Dr. Amr El-Adl, Managing Director of MBG; Dr. Sameh El-Sayed, Chairman of Misr El-Gedida; and Dr. Ahmed Omar Mashal, Chairman of ARX Development. The conference was sponsored by Madinet Masr, with active participation from digital future pioneers in the PropTech sector, including Mr. Hany Lasheen, Eng. Abdel Nasser Taha, Eng. The conference sessions opened with a strategic panel discussion titled “Building Digital Egypt with Next-Generation Technologies”, featuring strong participation from the Assistant Minister of Housing, the Deputy Minister of Communications, Mr. Mohamed El-Sakrary, Digital Platforms Expert; Eng. Mohamed Abou Zeid, Innovative Digital Marketing Expert; Dr. Sameh El-Sayed; and Dr. Amr El-Adl. The opening session was professionally moderated by Dr. Abdel Rahman Khalil, Business Development Consultant. Among the key recommendations of the discussion was the necessity of leveraging PropTech solutions to modernize the real estate ecosystem and strengthen cooperation between real estate developers, telecommunications companies, technology providers, and artificial intelligence innovators.

The distinguished audience reflected the caliber of the speakers and included Eng. Alaa Fekry, Chairman of Beta Developments; Eng. Bassem El-Sherbiny; Eng. Ashraf Hashem of Engineering Consultancy Firms; Dr. Saad Omar Mashal; Eng. Mohamed Toubbar; Mr. Hany Abdel Wahab; Mr. Amr El-Qady; executives and partners from Ayen Saudi Arabia; as well as company directors, sector specialists, media figure Mohamed Nakeb, Dr. Samer Ibrahim, Dr. Bilal Lotfy, Mr. Abdel-Sanad Yamama, Chairman of Al-Wafd Party, and members of both the House of Representatives and the Shura Council.

Throughout the day, the conference hosted three open panel discussions, in addition to interactive workshops held on the main stage, which generated highly positive feedback from attendees. The second session, titled “Partnership Between the Real Estate and Technology Sectors to Increase Investments”, gained further depth with the participation of Dr. Sally George, representing the Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority, who emphasized investor confidence in cooperating with digital platforms through transparency and credibility. Mr. Hossam Heiba highlighted digital transformation within governmental entities and the importance of adopting advanced technologies to keep pace with global technological development. The session also featured Eng. Hossam Ezz from Fawry Plus and was moderated by the veteran Egyptian-Canadian expert Dr. Fayez Ezz El-Din, who hosted global Egyptian businessman and investor Dr. Ali El-Dakroury.

Khaled Abdel Rahman, Founder and CEO of the Neo Gen Conference, stated that the main challenge was organizing the closing session at 5:00 PM, which turned into a pleasant surprise for all attendees. The audience remained eager to see and hear from the new generation of technology leaders and AI pioneers, including Mr. Nabil Khalifa of Meska, Eng. Hossam Fekry, creator of Adam AI, and Dr. Ahmed Lotfy, with the participation of Mr. Mohamed Islam, Chairman of the Real Estate Investment and Development Chamber at the Afro-Asian Investors Union. The session received governmental support through Brigadier General Ihab El-Qattan, representing the Industrial Development Authority, who presented the Authority’s digital real estate platform for land allocation and the electronic completion of procedures. The session, moderated by Mr. Hesham El-Fouly, was widely praised for building a strong bridge of cooperation and mutual understanding between a new generation of innovators and seasoned industry experts.
